Centropyge colini (Blueback Angel)

Postby 100% Reef Safe » Wed 02 Jan, 2013 11:06 pm

We have been lucky enough to have to recieve this rare little beauty in our hot little mitts.

Here are some details

Price $270 + Shipping (airport to airport)
Pickup is available as well

The Colin's Angelfish originates from Indonesia in the Western Pacific as well as Fiji in the South Pacific. This deepwater fish is a beautiful yellow with a distinctive blue back and dorsal fin. They are a rare find in the industry, and will make a wonderful addition to the experienced marine fish collector's display.
The Colin's Angelfish requires a 70-gallon or larger aquarium with hiding places and large amounts of live rock to graze on the microalgae growth. These fishes prefer a dimly lit aquarium, but seem to adapt well to brighter lighting system utilized on modern reef aquariums.

The diet of the Colin's Angelfish should include marine algae, high-quality angelfish preparations, mysis or frozen shrimp, and other meaty items.

This speciman that we have is an Australian hand caught species.

Centropyge colini

Cheers
Pete

Hope he finds a good home!

Pete I would take it from you if you don't mind holding it for about 4 months!

Looks like you may have a good one.
Hard fish to import, most come from Philippines.

So far unable to keep them alive for long.

I have been trying to get some more Jamie but they are not a common fish that is collected. The word is out so all I can do is wait till I get a reply back from the collectors
