Clownfish with split abdomen?

Postby JBReefer » Sun 21 May, 2017 8:55 pm

Last week my female black and white Occelaris Clown has a very swollen abdomen and looked like it was going to lay eggs and had an extended ovipositor(?). This week still has a swollen abdomen, however it looks like the ovipositor has been torn off/split. Has anyone seen this before and if so did the fish recover?

Definetly looks like part of internal organ protruding from it. The fish seems fine, is eating well and still has its usual attitude.
