Do purple tangs deserve their aggressive reputation?

Postby amzar123 » Sun 25 Oct, 2015 4:21 am

Do purple tangs deserve their aggressive reputation? I've worked out how to suppress this aggressive nature... for now...
I feel the aggression is more set up specific then the individual fish

Tang to tang aggression can be very hit and miss in my experience. Aside from that mine have got on well in my systems. I have had two purples, the first one kept for a out five years and this one I have had for two years. I haven't tried to keep two tangs together since I had trouble with a kole I introduced with my purple many years ago.
The winner is the one who has had the most fun at the end
