Tangs scalpel damage

Postby Iain3 » Tue 06 Oct, 2015 12:22 pm

Hi all, I have two tangs in my tank, a sailfin and a powder blue, they have been battling a little for top spot in the tank, they are pretty settled now but I noticed that the Powder Blue has lost one of his scalpels, I then noticed a clear (see-through) thorn like splinter, I assume the missing scalep, sticking out the side of the sailfin. It doesn't seem to bother him, but a few days later it is still there.

Should I try to net him, a big ask, and tweezer the scalpel out or leave him and assume that his skin will repair and eventually push it out itself?

Cheers
Iain
