Day 10
Bak Low: 1 drop
Food7 Low: 1 drop
Start3 Low: 0.1ml x 2

Diatom become darker and move visible but only at one spot tho. i am guess that gets the least flow. going to do water change again on the weekend but will do a water test before that. with zeovit method you need to skim out the bacteria but i guess the zoa and goni may enjoy that and had that taken care of very well at the moment.

Cool

I used food7 once I had low nutrients, but used sponge power for the initial cycle and then alternated dosing SP and F7. Seemed to work well :)

50% water change today

Come up with a dosing schedule and here is the snapshot
Image

Put in a purple birdsnest to replace the brown acro (only for water testing not expecting it to colour back in this tank)
Put another Teal coloured yellow polyps acro. Both glued on the rock platform i built for SPS.
1 more goni frag - a sunset goni

will take some photos tomorrow if i have time.

1 turbo snail in to help with algae and diatom.

Haven't got time to take photos

but did water change again today and followed by some water test

Nitrate:0.5
Phosphate: 0.08
Calcium: 375
Alkalinity:6.3

Nitrate has reduced but phosphate has remain the same. Will increase bak dose to 3 times a week. Not sure why buy my small bag of rowaphos doesn't seems work for me.

water change can't seem to keep up with the Cal and Alk so i decide to do some manual dose of Red Sea A and Randy's B.

been busy with the other tank but i still manage to do the bi weekly WC and stick with the feeding schedule. Recently i changed to use ASW so i can get stable parameters.

Did WC change today and did some water test. only did Cal and Alk

Cal: 450
Alk: 8.4

Hopefully i get some spare time tomorrow to do the NO3 and PO4 test and take some nice shot of the tank and coral.

Been very busy recently so have't done much on the tank.
i did take out a acro frag that is not doing good and replaced with couple gorg frags. took the media rack out and put in a small air stone driven skimmer.
one of my goni frag is not opening. i am guessing due to the excess nutrients in the water. i am going to do some test this weekend.

it has been almost impossible have time to take care this little tank i have. i have been back to weekly water change and for the last 2 weeks i have not changed any water with this tank. still feeding it if i remember but that's about it.

zoas are doing good, gonis....not too bad. but they are dirty water lover anyway or they can survive in a little bit Nitrate and Phosphate. Work and family just keep me busy and i still need to dedicate some time to the bigger tank.

wife is due in about 2-3 weeks so i am thinking to shutdown this tank and quit the competition. i will see if i can spare some time to clean the tank and take some decent photo before i decide to close it down. Need to send mum to airport on Saturday so then i may have bit time.

Work is getting busier and wife is due in 2-3 weeks. I have not been able to dedicate enough time to the tank it deserves to. so i decided that i will shutdown this tank and move most of the stock to my big tank so corals are getting a more comfortable environment to live with.

Here are some photos before i shut it down:
