OMG! I just spent the entire yesterday until now reading the 'other' TJ of 51 pages. . .now you tell me I read them in the wrong order?!? Well whatever it's 4:30am and I gotta wake up in 2 hrs. I love your tanks Dan and Cathy! So blasted cool!!! One day I'm going to go up north to QLD and schedule a visit to see it in person.

Thanks Jaguar :) everyone is welcome to visit and take a look but it really isn't much to see at the moment compared to what it was.

I am in the process of slowly closing down this experiment, its been a great learning experience and I pretty much achieved most of what I had initially planned on doing with azoox corals but unfortunately the tank is destined to be converted back towards LPS and the easy stuff that can look after themselves basically.

First new addition in god knows how long - Catalaphyllia jardinei. its got some serious colour and impact in the tank at the moment!

Cheers guys, it helps that i have access to the best export quality stock you'll find in Aus :)

I am slowly winding up this experiment, its been a lot of fun and hard work and I've learnt a hell of a lot about coral nutrition. Thanks for following along and I hope you've all found the dark side of reefing interesting. I've realized that azoox corals can be kept successfully but they really do require a specialist system with dedicated feeding processes and good quality equipment to process the increased inputs but it is possible!

Happy Reefing

here is a link to one of my "inspiration" tanks, which consumes 40, yes 40 cubes of frozen food each day. This is the levels food which need to be purchased, and processed in tank to achieve an NPS tank of this caliber

its been great following Dan, it would have been even better to watch it for years, but i understand the level of commitment needed.
