Looks great! I love the mix of colored sticks with the sps and zoas.

Thought i would give a bit of an update,

When i was over 3000 Kms away with work, on the night before i got home the overflow box decided that it didnt want to play the game anymore and lost its syphon. This caused the return pump to drain the sump and pump about 3 liters of water over the back of the tank over all the electricals and power boards. After a frantic call from my partner i got her to turn everything off and just plug in the MP10's for flow until i got home.

Once i got home (after spending 7 hours on a plane and over 14 hours waiting in various capital cities) i got stuck into the tank. sorted out the problem and got it all running properly again. Over the next few days i was waiting for the SPS to show signs of stress but to my pleasent surprise nothing. they were as happy as they had ever been. Until during a hot day the tank reached 33 degree's. (i forgot to turn the chiller on apparently :konk:).

After that the SPS lost alot of colour and i lost one frag/small colony that i had been groing for months.

Anyway its all settled back in now and the SPS has regained colour surprisingly quick, although not quite ready for some more pictures.

But i will put this one up, its my small collection of hammer, hope you enjoy.

Thanks everyone.

I'm starting to plan a new tank, 1000 long x 800 wide x 600 high. Just have to wait until I get back from work. Getting pretty excited about it though.

Cheers.

Time for a little update I think.

While I was away for work the tank took a couple of bad turns and ended up with a macro algae and cyano taking over everything. As soon as I got home the 5 days of maintenance, cleaning, water changes and pulling out the macro algae started. It seems to have made a positive impact.

On the plus side though, I found 4 peppermint shrimp that I thought were eaten about 5 months ago.... And two of them are holding eggs.

Also while a friend was over having a sticky beak he noticed that my clownies had laid eggs, to say the least I was extremely excited and blown away, considering how bad a shape the tank looked in when I first got back.

Anyway a couple of pics, sorry they are not very good quality but they were taken with my Iphone.

My hammer collection, the one on the back left decided to pick a fight with my Lobo.... He lost, not even a mark on the lobo.

Ok time for a bit of an update.

About 2 months ago the return pump on my tank failed (typical waveline.......), while I was trying to organize what I was going to do I put my HOB skimmer back on the tank, threw a heater in it and let it do its thing. Although this was sufficient for the lps, clam, softies and fishes the sps didn't take to it quite as well. They suffered a lot of colour loss but other than that looked ok.

Since I was moving shortly after the pump failed I decided that I would decommission the tank and start up a 3x2x2. The main idea with the 3x2x2 was I could have more room but don't have to upgrade all my gear. So for the last 6 weeks all my corals have been sitting in a holding tank and a friends tank (life saver  ), the time for the new tank being filled with rock and water is etching closer.

At the moment it is filled with fresh water doing an extended leak test (since I work interstate a lot and didn't have time to drain it). It should be filled cycled and ready to have stock starting to transfer by the new year :crossfingers:

So since you have just read through that small novel here is a bit of a teaser.

(zoomed Iphone pick, hence the crappy resolution)

I will start a new tank journal when I get a chance.
