Is it just me or is there no way to sort by manufacturer anymore? This wouldn't be so bad if the product name text or product description contained the manufacturer name but a huge chunk of items on the store don't have the brand in either field.

:withyou: The new site looks slick, but i rather liked the functionality of the old site - easier to find what you want without having to navigate through multiple pages...

sorry but I cant justify buying from here now as there will be no savings compared to my lfs

Sent your email to the developer, must be a bug and will sort it out. Should be the same as the new site now gets all the information direct from the shipping company.

The search facility on the new site works 1000times better than the old site. You can search via product name or manufacturer and actually get it. The old sites search was really hit and miss at the end. If you take 2 minutes and play with the search options you will see how nice it works.

Just to mention - I'm not having a go at you or the site and I've been on the other side of this enough to know that it's never going to be 100% right out of the gate.

To give one example - let's compare results from searches for KZ and searches for Korallen Zucht if we're looking at T5 lights. Very easy to do on the old site since it was sorted by manufacturer.

"Korallen Zucht" returns (in among 29 other Korallen Zucht products in other categories)

http://www.guppysaquariumproducts.com.a ... urple.html

http://www.guppysaquariumproducts.com.a ... urple.html

http://www.guppysaquariumproducts.com.a ... urple.html

http://www.guppysaquariumproducts.com.a ... rblue.html

http://www.guppysaquariumproducts.com.a ... ation.html

http://www.guppysaquariumproducts.com.a ... ation.html

http://www.guppysaquariumproducts.com.a ... rblue.html

http://www.guppysaquariumproducts.com.a ... rblue.html

"KZ" returns -

http://www.guppysaquariumproducts.com.a ... rblue.html

http://www.guppysaquariumproducts.com.a ... rblue.html

http://www.guppysaquariumproducts.com.a ... rblue.html

http://www.guppysaquariumproducts.com.a ... ation.html

http://www.guppysaquariumproducts.com.a ... ation.html

and we get 2 extra products from others in the Korallen Zucht line but no fiji purples.

One product's description text and URL don't match the others so we can't even really guess what the right term is. Just an example using a big name brand, where our searches either get us not enough, or getting towards too much, depending on what search we use. One other issue is that they aren't sub-sorted by category - we get supplements with medications mixed with lights at random intervals no matter what search result sort type we select ('category' would be a good thing to add to relevance-name-price). But there are lots of other products (particularly 'no name' brand products) where the category they were in on the old site was the only piece of information on who made it. So they're now kind of orphaned out - can't search for them, can't find out what they are exactly from viewing the general category.

I think what he is saying is rather than search for Korallen Zucht, leave the search terms empty and just select the manufacturer. That way you get all products from that manufacturer.

Both your confirmation email and password change email would be in your junk box. Alt we can manually confirm and change your password if we know your email.

I have checked my spam folder and even white listed the domain to be sure.

Tried again while reading this thread, no replies in inbox/spam

Edit: Checked again after 30 mins and the emails were there, long time to come in....

Now I have to empty the inbox as the freight on the 2 items that would fit in a $8 post pack is $38 via fastaway :wall:

This was exactly my first response when they showed it to me the 1st time, they then told me to try the search engine on the site. It took them more than 6 months just to add all the products, change the format and make sure the search WORKS. Once you get to use it you will find it much easier.
I will also now start having real deal's of the day, Some will be up for 1 or 2 hours only, some for a week but I can assure you they will be well priced deals.

Yes, we did have our 1st price increase in 3 years. Price went up 9%. Still does not even cover the 20%+ increase we have incurred as a resalt of our dollar losing value.

Is there any way to retrieve old invoices now that you updated the site? That feature saved me for a warranty claim once as I had lost the original paperwork.

Sorry, you wont have any access to the old site. All your order copy's should be in your email or junk file as the system sent you a copy.

Hi

From what I can tell there is no method of customer inquiry listed on the web page (can make an order easy enough). Please add an email address for basic customer inquiries.
