Our bestselling Bacterial Products are still Microbe Lift Special Blend, TheraP and Nite-Out II. Microbe Lift also has the most bio activity per ml than any other bio product available in the market today couple that with our very low price you simply will not find a better product in Australia.

Nite-Out II is nitrifying bacteria; it should be used when setting up new tanks, when introducing new fish, after medicating with antibiotics, after water changes and filter cleaning, or if you develop an ammonia or Nitrite problem.

We recommend using the Special Blend and the Nite-Out II together.

The Special Blend does a lot for the water.
Its job is to clean the water and improve overall water quality.
Use of Special Blend will result in cleaner water with increased oxygen levels.
As it breaks down waste some ammonia is the result.
If the tank is poorly maintained with a lot of built up organics you may see an initial bump in the ammonia level.
If you add the Nite-Out II at the same time, that initial increase in ammonia will be cycled through rapidly.
The Special Blend removes organics from the water that can inhibit the nitrifiers from processing the ammonia and nitrite so use of Special Blend and Nite-Out II together results in better biological filtration.
By using both bacteria at the same time you will establish a balanced biological system rapidly.
Special Blend breaks down the waste, Nite-Out II processes the ammonia from the waste to nitrite and then nitrate (nitrification), and if there is a low oxygen zone for it to colonize the Special Blend will convert nitrate to nitrogen gas which harmlessly bubbles out of the water (denitrification)

We have many reports from hobbyists that Special Blend will reduce or eliminate cyano-bacteria in the aquarium.
Special Blend does a great job of reducing excess organics and improving overall water quality.
The photosynthetic strains can occupy the same niche in the aquarium as cyano-bacteria, and consume the nutrients that the cyano –bacteria feed on reducing outbreaks or eliminating them.

Here is some information on how Microbe-Lift/Special Blend and Microbe-Lift/Nite-Out II work together.
MICROBE-LIFT/Special Blend is special in many ways. First it is a fully active culture consortium (blend) and the moment is comes out of the bottle (there is no time delay) it goes to work the second it is added to the aquarium to consume waste organic matter that is released from marine life, waste food, and plant waste, there-by establishing the necessary waste degraders to control water quality. In addition, this select culture group seeds the entire aquarium with necessary microbes, to filters, substrate and bulk water. But it does not stop here, as you will see in the following information on denitrification, i.e., the removal of nitrate. As organic waste in the aquarium is reduced by aquarium biology, ammonia is produced via a process called microbial ammonification. The increase (production of) in ammonia in the aquarium now requires the development of a very special group of microbes for ammonia removal. These microorganisms are termed Nitrifiers (the process of nitrification), these are necessary to control the continued production of toxic ammonia. This is a most difficult task to achieve, and the reason most people say it takes five to six weeks to cycle a tank, as nitrifying microbes are extremely hard to develop as they have a very slow growth rate. They require a minimum of 18 hours for one cell division, as compared to 45 min to one hour for the waste degrader to conduct their cell division process. Well, MICROBE-LIFT/Nite-Out II is the answer.
MICROBE-LIFT/Nite-Out II is an active culture blend of nitrifying cultures that can be added at the same time as MICROBE-LIFT/Special Blend to assure the rapid growth of necessary nitrifying cultures within the aquarium for ammonia control. The addition of the culture group will convert ammonia to nitrite then convert nitrite to nitrate completing the nitrification process, and completing the aquarium cycle in an extremely short period. MICROBE-LIFT/Special Blend - Provides additional value in the aquarium as it had the capability to biologically eliminate nitrate via (reduction) denitrification. This is of great value as the end product of the nitrification process (biological ammonia removal) is nitrate.
However the addition of MICROBE-LIFT/Special Blend will not only enhance water quality, improve filter performance, it will remove nitrate via a process called denitrification and it will do it fast.

TheraP is very similar to the Special Blend, but is formulated to enhance the bacterial strains that have health benefits for the fish. The fish take up nutrient more efficiently, grow faster, and have better color when using TheraP. It also encourages breeding. In addition to these health benefits for the fish, you get some of the cleaning and water quality improvement you get with Special Blend. If using both products you reduce the dose of TheraP by 50%.

Your corals and anemones will benefit from the Special Blend and TheraP as well

The dosage of the Special Blend and TheraP is on the box and it depends on the amount of gallons of water you have in the aquarium.
The initial dose (Day 1) will be higher, on Day 8, 15, 22 and 29 the dosage will be a little lower and after this you will add it every 2 weeks at the lowest dosage.

The Nite-Out II should be added every other day until the ammonia levels are acceptable. The dosage is 5 mL per 10 gallons of water or 1ounce per 60 gallons of water.
