Messing around with Polarized Lens and Flash to limit flash reflection.

To help with that, if you are using the flash on the camera, place a sheet of white paper just above the lens, near the end. You will have to increase exposure time, but it does a very good job of diffusing the flash so you don't get hot spots like that. Plus, it is cheap and simple to try.
