First time try for a light trail shot, turned out ok.

Also switched to the Canon 50mm lens tonight to mix it up.

great first effort. not much you can do about those trees unfortunately, but i'm a big fan of this shot all the same!

Nice.

Did you need to use a filter to get the star effect of the lights, or they just do that with the lens etc as it was?

I'm pretty sure I have a UV filter on the 50mm, will double check tonight when i'm home, but I don't know if that would make the lights go like they did or not.

Can't see the exif data but i'd be pretty certain that the aperture would've been set to somewhere between f16-f22 to achieve the "star effect"

F22, ISO 200 and a 30 second exposure

I did cut this out of the whole picture as there was too much of black nothing above the shot
